She ain’t like Mary, she's more of a duck/
no quite contrary, she doesn’t give a f__k.
The big c Battle, sometimes it is scary/
But one thing she’s got, the love of old Gary.
This one little duck near a pond so blue,
would wibble wobble the whole day thru
Trouble like water off the feathers on her back,
she showed her love for others with her quack
Before cell phones, that were called Motorola/
she cruised the town in a yellow Corolla…
Sun and lemons would streak in her hair/
Her Bartles & James, Sun Country got shared!
No one can give you a better kind of hug/
Around these parts now she is really being dug!
There is nothing like this skipper kind of love/
to step into her life and help her get er Done!
And now I need, for him to Let me,
keep loving Betsy, I hope he lets me
And now I see, it’s such a blessing,
being friends with Betsy, I’m glad she met me.
High school friends that could stretch for a mile/
Life is so much richer for having her smile
a sweet, Baby girl, and mom of Orono/
from a Deep haven world, Never crabby, no no!
So Impressive, her sweater collection/
she nailed preppy to pure perfection!
A Skipper, Sun devil, and a flight attendant/
No eyes, but hers could ever be as radiant.
Blue docksiders, minneTonka moccasins/
her Daddy's car, she moved in it often,
We laughed so loudly at her ribbons and barrettes/
And her big silver rings we can never forget!
Doling out those (deep) belly laughs/
and leaving us with not much air to grasp.
With her around there was always a chance/
you might end the night with pee in your pants!
And now I plead, that she will catch me,
I fell for Betsy, there’s no forgetting
And I believe, if he will let me,
help somehow Betsy, We can pass this testing!
